Terms of service
2026-07-27
These terms govern the use of Placa by publishers. The service is currently in beta.
The service
Placa provides the infrastructure to sell, serve, collect and renew sponsorships on the publisher’s own sites. The publisher is the legal seller of their sponsorships: charges are created on the publisher’s own payment account and sponsorship revenue never passes through Placa.
Pricing
During the beta the service is free. Pricing will be a fixed fee per tier of sponsorship volume invoiced through the platform, published in advance. Placa takes no percentage of sponsorships. Tier changes are notified before they apply.
Acceptable use
Creatives are structured fields rendered by Placa templates; advertiser-supplied HTML is never served. Publishers remain responsible for the content of the sponsorships they approve and for complying with the laws that apply to their sites.
Portability and termination
The publisher can export all their data (sponsors, periods, history, creatives) at any time and can leave whenever they want; the served manifest is documented JSON and self-hosting instructions are published.
Already-paid sponsorship periods are honoured until their end. If the service shuts down, publishers get 90 days of notice and a full export.
Liability
The service is provided “as is” during the beta. Placa’s serving layer is designed to degrade silently: a failure on our side renders an empty gap on the publisher’s site, never an error. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the fees paid in the preceding twelve months.
Draft pending legal review.
